With our money we are deciding about opportunities of companies to be successful in their business. By supporting companies which are addressing sustainability rather than profit optimization, we can make a difference.
You are spending and investing money every day. Do you know where?
Most of us are complaining about short term oriented companies with targets of profit maximization. But many people do not know that they are supporting exactly these companies. Bank accounts, insurances, investment and pension funds are anonymous baskets and usually we do not care what is inside. We even ask for maximum profits. And we get what we are asking for!
There are many companies which are following a more sustainable model and they need our support. I believe we should be more careful in choosing the origin of our investments.
